My Qigong journey began shortly after sunrise at waters edge of the Atlantic ocean in Miami Beach, Florida, USA in 1992. I will never forget the lightness and deep relaxation I felt following this initial introduction. It wasn’t long after that I enrolled in and completed a three-year Traditional Chinese Medicine program, culminating in the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine board exams.
Alongside an existing airline pilot career, I continued to “dabble” in numerous holistic health certifications over the following decades. By 201o I was fortunate enough to learn about the work of Yuan Tze in New Zealand. This resulted in numerous trips “down under’ to attend annual multi-week public and teacher training retreats. Prior to this time, I had already done much body-mind cultivation such as various schools of Tai Chi, Qigong, Yoga and spiritual work through insight meditation and Diamond Approach/Ridhwan Foundation.
Over the years, I also became involved with many activities at the institute of Noetic Sciences in Petaluma, California as well as research at the HeartMath Institute in Boulder Creek, California, including their teacher certification program.
I feel the above listed exposures to various self-cultivation modalities and teachings give me a well rounded background for evaluating the safety and effectiveness of the Ren Xue (Yuan Gong & Yuan Ming) system developed and taught by Yuan Tze. It is truly an all encompassing treasure which addresses all levels of life, from physical health and healing through the highest levels of human spiritual development.
It is the type of endeavor where one can confidently invest a lifetime of learning, while realizing tangible results from the very beginning. The methods and theories are rooted in millennia of wisdom-based trial and error and condensed by Yuan Tze into bite sized nuggets to help all of us to uplift ourselves and help others (Zi Du, Du Ren). All this while we realize a stronger and more flexible body along with improved inner qualities like love, gratitude, trust, openness, humility and respect for all living beings, nature and the universe. It’s a timely and highly effective gift for accelerated inner transformation in a rapidly changing world.
