Get Started

We invite you to join Yuan Tze’s Removing the Barriers to Your Heart workshop series.

Many of us are looking to create more happiness, health, and well-being.  Maybe you are just starting to recognize the need to put some focus on yourself in this way, or maybe you have tried different things and feel like you haven’t quite found what you’re looking for.  Or you may have started on this path and want to go deeper.  Wherever we are at in this process, we need a clear direction and way to understand what is in the way of building on the positive aspects of life. When we know what is in the way, we can more clearly see and understand how to remove these barriers and transform our lives.

Yuan Tze

One of the key pieces to improving our life is being connected with our heart on a deep level.  Our hearts hold the qualities that are part of our true nature – what we call in Ren Xue the Five Xin (Heart) qualities: Trust, Openness, Love, Gratitude and Gongjing (True Respect and Humility).  If we look at the obstacles we experience in life, we can probably see that one or more of these heart qualities are weak or even missing.  They are covered up by our unhealthy patterns.  The good news is that there are tools in Ren Xue to understand and work on these obstacles, enabling these heart qualities to manifest unconditionally.

In this series we will explore

  • The meaning of the unconditional manifestation of the five heart qualities – Trust, Openness, Love, Gratitude and Gongjing (True Respect and Humility).
  • How to recognize the unhealthy patterns that are in the way of accessing these heart qualities, our true nature.
  • Ways to work on transforming these unhealthy patterns.
  • How to strengthen our ability to lead our life from our heart and True Self.
  • How to deepen our connection with these qualities to manifest them unconditionally.

How could your life be different if you accessed unconditional trust, openness, love, gratitude and Gongjing from your heart?

Workshop 5: Transforming Patterns for Manifesting Unconditional Gongjing

“Gongjing (true respect) opens life up so that we can experience connection, love, trust, appreciation and gratitude.  It takes the ‘me’ out of the focus and makes unification and oneness possible.” – Yuan Tze

Unconditional Gongjing is a natural state of the true heart. It can completely transform our relationship to ourselves, others, different situations, and circumstances.  If we are truly respecting something for what it is, then the other natural qualities of our heart (trust, openness, love, and gratitude) are manifesting as well.  Living life in this state can lead to a continuous healthy exchange with ourselves and everything around us.  We can truly experience health, happiness, and well-being as we grow in this state.

However, most of us find it challenging to connect with this quality in a variety of ways.  What is standing in the way of us experiencing this state?  The limited views and perceptions that we hold onto.  In other words, our unhealthy patterns that cloud our ability to experience life in a state of Gongjing.  When we can face and transform these negative patterns, we can find ourselves closer to our true nature and the true state of our hearts – feeling true respect for everything and everyone in every moment.

To support our work towards unconditional Gongjing, this workshop we’ll explore:

  • The meaning and understanding of Gongjing
  • What unhealthy patterns stand in the way of this state
  • Getting clear on how to face and transform our negative patterns
  • Strengthening this quality and living from our heart

If we were each able to live and connect with ourselves and everything around us from this state, can you imagine the positive changes we would see in the world?

Pay what you can

We are a diverse and global community, and as such we want to offer a payment structure that allows us to accommodate different realities.  For this reason, we offer a sliding scale for Yuan Tze events, to enable people to pay what they can.

For those who have the means and live in a country with a strong currency, we offer a higher price.  For those, whose financial means may be currently restricted and/or are living in countries with weaker currencies, we have various options to choose from.  If the lowest option presented is still a barrier to your participation, please contact our Events Coordinator, Chris Dunaway, at and she will work something out with you. For us, the most important thing is that people are able to access the teachings.

Donate to support others

Equally, if you are in the position of being able to donate to help others participate, you will have that option when you pay for your event. All donations will be gratefully received by both REN XUE International (RXI), and the recipient of the financial support.

RXI is a non-profit charitable trust based in New Zealand – because we operate internationally we do not have donee status, which means donors do not receive tax credits for their donation.  If you prefer to receive a tax credit for your donation and are in the US – you can give to REN XUE of the Americas here or in New Zealand – you can give to REN XUE Australasia here.

Event fee and currency conversion

Prices are all in New Zealand Dollars (NZD), which is a relatively weak currency against stronger currencies such as the US Dollar, Euro, and British Pound. To check your currency against the pricing options in NZD you can access an online currency convertor here.

Ways to Pay

We offer three payment options.
  1. Credit Card

Credit card is the simplest way to pay from outside New Zealand. We use the Stripe payment gateway and it is secure and safe.

  1. PayPal

PayPal allows you to pay via any credit card, debit card or bank account linked to your PayPal account.  If you wish to pay via credit card, we encourage you to use the credit card option above, as this incurs a lower transaction fee on our part.

  1. Direct Bank Transfer

For Direct Bank Transfer (e.g. online banking, Wise) we will include our bank account details in your order confirmation email. Your order will be placed on hold until we can verify your funds have cleared in our account.  To avoid disappointment, we recommend making the transfer at least two working days prior to the event. This will allow the banks to process your transaction.

When transferring funds, please use your order number as your payment reference. This is very important. We need this reference to know the payment is from you.

Gifting & Alternative Payment Options

If you are unable to pay via one of the above options, or would like to purchase an event as a gift for someone else, please contact our Events Coordinator, Chris Dunaway, at

What if I live in a different time zone?

You can watch the event in three different ways:

  • Delayed – if you start a session that is already underway you can choose to start from the beginning and not what is being broadcasted Live
  • Recordings, after the fact – this is a good option for those in very different time zones. All previously-recorded sessions will be available to you.

Rest assured, whether you join Yuan Tze's session live or watch the recording, the support of the same powerful, loving, and nourishing Qifield will be available to you.

How long will the workshop content be available to me?

You will have access to this content for as long as you have a Learn REN XUE account with us.

Can we stream part of the event, and pay part of the fee?

There are no prorated, per-day streaming options.

What if I decide later that I don’t want to attend? Can I get my money back?

Cancellations will receive a full refund less NZD $50 (for processing and admin fees).

How do I access the online event?

All information relating to the event is accessible under My Portal.

Is it OK to pay for one registration and share it with others?

We ask that each person who wishes to watch registers separately. We are committed to keeping costs as affordable as we can for everyone and offer many different payment options for people to access the events.

In addition, access to the online event content will only be available by logging into your account and viewing it under the My Portal section. This content will be available to you for as long as you have an account with us.

Looking After Your Mental Health

In preparing for a Ren Xue event participants are encouraged to be in a "relaxed, calm and natural" state. Feeling this way is necessary for you to be able to integrate new insights and grow, and also for your safety.

If your mental state is unstable or highly changeable and it is not within your ability to return to a calm state, we would advise that this is not the time to attend a Ren Xue event.

The kind of mental states which are referred to here include but are not limited to the following;

  • severe depression
  • strong fluctuations of mood
  • mania
  • disturbing or racing thoughts
  • feelings of unreality
  • extreme sleep disturbance
  • paranoia
  • feeling unsafe due to thoughts of self-harm or others feeling unsafe around you
  • addiction
  • extreme and uncontrolled anxiety
  • or other significant mental health issues or disorders.

These experiences can be very distressing and our advice at this point would be for you to work with a health professional to stabilize your condition.

If, however you are comfortable that your mental health is relatively stable and that you can bring some clarity to any internal mental or emotional challenges that may come up as you reflect and work on your life, you are very welcome to participate, and may experience much benefit.

If you had a severe condition in the past or are currently experiencing a mild to moderate mental health disorder, we would encourage you to engage with support before, during and after the event. Participation is at your own risk, and you are strongly advised to discuss the potential risks and benefits of taking part with a health professional who knows you well beforehand. Sometimes current or previously challenging experiences do come up during a Ren Xue event. The Mental Health Advisory team of Ren Xue is also available to discuss your situation with you in confidence if that would be helpful. They are a team of experienced Ren Xue teachers and retired mental health professionals who advise Ren Xue participants and teachers around mental health matters.

Now that you have read this through, we hope you are clearer on the right decision for you. If you have decided that you would like to take part, please know that if you feel challenged or overwhelmed or have questions over the course of the event, you will have the support of many experienced teachers and we encourage you to reach out to any of the many experienced people available;

  • teachers you already know or have had support from in the past
  • teachers you meet as the event unfolds who feel like the right person to talk to
  • your event contact person who emails you with updates
  • the Guidance Team of Ren Xue
  • your own health practitioner if you have one
  • the Mental Health Advisory (MHA).

We are all here to help. Most of us have experienced various challenges as we have learnt and practiced Ren Xue. For many of us, the support of our fellow Ren Xue teachers and practitioners has been essential in transforming our challenges into real growth in our own lives and our ability to help others.

Background Information

If this is your first event with Yuan Tze or you're relatively new to Ren Xue, we invite you to review the following background information to give you insights into why and how Ren Xue came about and the benefits it has brought to people.

About REN XUE and Yuan Tze

REN XUE’s founder, Yuan Tze, has lived in New Zealand since 2002.  Born in China, Yuan Tze developed REN XUE and its disciplines after spending more than a decade in the West. REN XUE combines the best of both worlds. It draws from Yuan Tze’s deep knowledge of traditional Chinese wisdom culture including Daoism, Confucianism, Qigong, Buddhism, Traditional Chinese Medicine, I-Ching philosophy, Feng Shui, Taiji, Bagua and martial arts. Yuan Tze has integrated such ancient wisdom with modern philosophy, science, medicine, and technology to create a truly unique and comprehensive systems for developing the whole of life.

REN XUE is a wisdom system developed to help practitioners achieve greater health, happiness, sense of wellbeing, realization and wisdom. It helps us find inner harmony through practices that elevate body, mind and heart, which in turn helps us find outer harmony – in our personal relationships, with society, and with nature.

Learning from Yuan Tze

Learning from Yuan Tze is a unique experience, with his talks carrying powerful information infused with immense wisdom, love, and compassion. Such information can touch your life directly on a deep level and effect profound changes.

When talking, Yuan Tze uses far more than just the usual verbal communication. He also uses his heart and mind to directly transmit information to your heart and mind.

Yuan Tze's teachings are in Chinese and are interpreted by his wife, partner, and interpreter, Melissa. For core REN XUE terminology, Melissa will use the original Chinese terms. Translations of these terms can be read here to help further explain each term and their place within REN XUE.

It's important to remember that REN XUE is a big system and there is a clear path through it with lots of support. Concepts may be mentioned during lectures that you have not yet learned—being relaxed and open to Yuan Tze, and at ease with what you have not yet learned, will best support you to access the teachings.

The system of REN XUE has been developed by Yuan Tze to reflect totality, and as such, the delivery of the teachings is unique from other learning experiences. One of the treasures of Yuan Tze's teaching style is that it allows the participant to quietly contemplate the possibilities that lie beyond absolute answers. Compared to how we receive most of our information online these days, some may experience this as slow-paced or repetitive.

There are two main things that you can do to reach optimal results.

  1. Be in your heart

Open your heart and listen to the teaching with your heart. Connect with Yuan Tze's heart so he can exchange Qi and information with you smoothly. Unify with the Qifield and take everything into your heart. You can read more about heart-to-heart transmission here.

  1. Access the Qifield

A nourishing and powerful Qifield will be built for the event. This Qifield is to support all the participants so everyone can get the most out of the event. Opening your heart and unifying with the Qifield can help you get the most out of it.

Throughout the event, the Qifield will continue to change, and the change comes from the heart and consciousness of every participant. In other words, it is up to all participants to continue to uplift and strengthen the Qifield for the benefit of all.

Hear directly from Yuan Tze in this beautiful (22 mins) video as he talks about his early years.
