Learn alongside teachers-in-training from all over the world in our Guided E-Learning Teacher Training.

The next Level 2 Guided Teacher Training term is scheduled to start in February 22nd, 2026.

18 Weeks over Two Terms

About the Course

The Level 2 Guided E-Learning course is undertaken in two terms. This allows trainees time to practice and consolidate learning before engaging with new content. You can undertake the terms in any order. Both terms are run every year.

It is only necessary to register for Level 2 Guided E-Learning once. After you have completed your first term, you will be invited to join us for the second term when you are ready. We encourage trainees to complete both terms as soon as practical in order to maintain momentum and keep the learning fresh in mind.

When you have completed both terms, you will become a Level 2 qualified Ren Xue teacher and receive a certificate.

Time Commitment

  • In order to complete this 18 week course over two terms, you can expect to spend 130-180 hours (7-10 hours per week). This takes into account the study topics (reading and video material) and group sessions. We recommend committing additional time to your own daily practice.
  • Attend a minimum of 5 of the 6 Study Group sessions live online during the Ren Yuan and Yuan Ming term.
  • Attend a mimimum of 4 of the 5 Study Group  sessions live online during the Xia Yuan and Theory of Jingshen term.
  • Attend as many Group Practice sessions live online as possible.
  • Self-organize and attend Buddy Group sessions at least every two weeks.
  • Watch the recording of any group session you are unable to attend live online before the next scheduled group session.
  • Complete Module 1 (approx 5 hours) before the first study group.

Online Session Structure

Practical assessment takes place gradually during the live online sessions throughout the course; therefore, attendance is necessary.

Study Groups are held every other weekend and last about 90 mins. They scheduled to start anytime between 7am and 8pm in your time zone and are led by experienced Ren Xue teachers. Trainees are grouped in cohorts of approximately 15 people based on time zones and the sessions are scheduled at an accessible time of day. These sessions focus on discussion about specific topics (refer to the course schedule once registered) and provide an opportunity to ask questions. They also cover teaching Yuan Gong methods and form part of the proficiency assessment.

A minimum of 80% of Study Groups must be attended live online. If it is not possible to attend a session live (no more than 20% of sessions), the session needs to be watched via the recording before to the next scheduled Study Group.

Group Practice sessions are held mid-week, once per week and last about 60 minutes, led by experienced Ren Xue teachers. These focus on practicing the Yuan Gong methods together. The scheduled time of these sessions usually alternates weekly between 2 or 3 different times to allow participants in different time zones an opportunity to attend live.

Group Practice forms part of the proficiency assessment, therefore we recommend that you attend as many sessions as possible live online. If you are unable to attend a Group Practice live online, we ask that you watch it via the recording prior to the next scheduled Group Practice.

Buddy Groups are smaller groups of 4-8 fellow trainees (without teachers), typically in a similar time zone. Group members self-organize a convenient time to meet and are given topics to discuss and exercises to practice based on the course schedule.

Buddy Groups are held as often as you like. We recommend meeting at least once every two weeks.  As this training program is delivered virtually, everyone’s active participation really strengthens the group and provides everyone in the course with a much richer experience. Lifelong friendships are often developed during these courses which allows for the creation of a strong support network for future Ren Xue teachers and the community.

Assessment and Certification

Upon successfully demonstrating and explaining a part of Ren Yuan and Xia Yuan through progressive proficiency assessment, as well as submitting a response to some key aspects of Ren Xue theory and a personal reflection with Yuan Tze, trainees will qualify as a Level 2 Ren Xue Teacher and receive a certificate.
